SO! New York Comic Con 2009! What a day, what a day!! There were so many people there, they actually sold out the Javits Center. Sold Out!! How many people have to be in the Javits Center for it to sell out? Let's just say a lot. Tons of free stuff, people to meet, and places to be all at once. We had to ration our time in order for us to be able to meet everyone we wanted. I waited about 2 hours online to meet Jared Padalecki and Derek Mears from "Friday the 13th" (or Supernatural for Sammy fans)(Derek Mears plays Jason). That was awesome! Jared didn't really say anything, but Derek was SO friendly. Asked my name, said it was awesome, stuff like that. Jared was so busy though (and spoilers: I'm meeting him next month too at a Supernatural Convention in NJ. I will not be able to count him again, but i think it was count as my real "meeting" him). So that's #'s 2 and 3! #4 is MILO VENTIMIGLIA!!! (did i spell his last name right?? sorry if I didn't, i don't have it in front of me and I can't spell it unless I see it) Yes, Peter Petrelli from "Heroes" (or that dude from Gilmore Girls if you're into that). He was amazing! I got to his Panel 2 hours early and started to wait outside. There were about 7 of us that were waiting around and formed a line. Then one of the chicks volunteering told us we could just go in and wait, probably because the panel before him was not full. So I went in, saving a seat for Holly (sis) cause she was at the "Dead Like Me" panel. Luckily, the one before Milo's ended at the same time as her's. She sneaked her way past the line, telling the volunteer that i was waiting for her in there, which I was!!! (No cheating was involved. I told everyone of those 7 or so people I was waiting with that I was saving her a spot!) Anyways. Being one of the lucky panel members, I was able to get both an autograph on his comic "Berserker" and a photo with him. He took the photo himself (see above). He was so adorable too! He didn't just snap the photo, he actually looked to make sure it came out. He then said "Looks pretty good" and handed the camera back. So awesome! Milo = #4! #5... welll...... I don't actually think I will count them, HOWEVER!! They have been icons in my life since I was, what? 10? Yes, none other than the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! and april o'neil. I had their album from their HBO special, "Comin' Out of their Shells", which was performed live in NYC at Radio City Music Hall, i believe. I still have it on VHS. That was pretty cool, you have to admit! Ok, so I won't count them! I also can't count that I saw Colin Baker from "Dr. Who", or Seth Green (which I didn;t see but he walked right past me apparently). It was an amazing day and a great time and I can't wait to be apart of NYCC 2010. Maybe I will even dress up in costume... you never know!! :)
Since I've met my quota for at least 4 of the 12 months, looks like i'm free until May! Well, I will be meeting Jared for realz in March, but I can't count him twice. So, who will be next?!?! The world may never know.
