It's Been a While!

So, it's been a while since I posted a blog about my 12 in 12. I figured I should inform those who read (which I am assuming is no one) that I have upped my tally to 5! I actually did this in March, but today was a very interesting day. I'll get to that later!

So the last "celebrity" I met was Jim Beaver from the show "Supernatural". That's 2 from "Supernatual" now!! Just one important person is missing... JENSON, WHERE ARE YOU!? Jim was super nice and asked me about my name. I was in a line, so we had to make it quick, but he was really sweet. *See photo*

So! Today! Well, as some may know, Angelina Jolie is filming part of her movie in Albany, NY. Since I live in the area, we decided to take a drive through the area, see if we can see some of the movie. I actually work within a mile of the filming, and can see parts, I still had not seen Angelina. So, as we are approaching exit 3A on the 787, there she is! Sitting right on top of a box truck! Now, I don't know how close we were, but the truck was parked very close to the beginning on the exit, close to the actual road way. It was also close enough to see her facial features. I know it was not her stunt double, that's for sure. So, i can not count this for my 12 in 12. BUT! i do want to count it as a sighting. It will be a new category, for my amusement and yours. Here is the list so far:

Meeting (12 in 12) Sightings

1) Jimmy Fallon 1) Angelina Jolie

2) Jared Padelacki

3) David Mears

4) Milo Ventimiglia

5) Jim Beaver

NYCC: Celebrities #s 2, 3 and 4 (and 5??)

SO! New York Comic Con 2009! What a day, what a day!! There were so many people there, they actually sold out the Javits Center. Sold Out!! How many people have to be in the Javits Center for it to sell out? Let's just say a lot. Tons of free stuff, people to meet, and places to be all at once. We had to ration our time in order for us to be able to meet everyone we wanted. I waited about 2 hours online to meet Jared Padalecki and Derek Mears from "Friday the 13th" (or Supernatural for Sammy fans)(Derek Mears plays Jason). That was awesome! Jared didn't really say anything, but Derek was SO friendly. Asked my name, said it was awesome, stuff like that. Jared was so busy though (and spoilers: I'm meeting him next month too at a Supernatural Convention in NJ. I will not be able to count him again, but i think it was count as my real "meeting" him). So that's #'s 2 and 3! #4 is MILO VENTIMIGLIA!!! (did i spell his last name right?? sorry if I didn't, i don't have it in front of me and I can't spell it unless I see it) Yes, Peter Petrelli from "Heroes" (or that dude from Gilmore Girls if you're into that). He was amazing! I got to his Panel 2 hours early and started to wait outside. There were about 7 of us that were waiting around and formed a line. Then one of the chicks volunteering told us we could just go in and wait, probably because the panel before him was not full. So I went in, saving a seat for Holly (sis) cause she was at the "Dead Like Me" panel. Luckily, the one before Milo's ended at the same time as her's. She sneaked her way past the line, telling the volunteer that i was waiting for her in there, which I was!!! (No cheating was involved. I told everyone of those 7 or so people I was waiting with that I was saving her a spot!) Anyways. Being one of the lucky panel members, I was able to get both an autograph on his comic "Berserker" and a photo with him. He took the photo himself (see above). He was so adorable too! He didn't just snap the photo, he actually looked to make sure it came out. He then said "Looks pretty good" and handed the camera back. So awesome! Milo = #4! #5... welll...... I don't actually think I will count them, HOWEVER!! They have been icons in my life since I was, what? 10? Yes, none other than the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! and april o'neil. I had their album from their HBO special, "Comin' Out of their Shells", which was performed live in NYC at Radio City Music Hall, i believe. I still have it on VHS. That was pretty cool, you have to admit! Ok, so I won't count them! I also can't count that I saw Colin Baker from "Dr. Who", or Seth Green (which I didn;t see but he walked right past me apparently). It was an amazing day and a great time and I can't wait to be apart of NYCC 2010. Maybe I will even dress up in costume... you never know!! :)
Since I've met my quota for at least 4 of the 12 months, looks like i'm free until May! Well, I will be meeting Jared for realz in March, but I can't count him twice. So, who will be next?!?! The world may never know.

Definition of a Schmooz Coolie

Schmooz Coolie:

the definition of a Schmooz Coolie is a person who schmoozes with the cool ones, ie. celebrities, friends, awesome people who don't suck. Schmoozing can be meeting, acquainting yourself with, chillin', or just breathing in the same air as that someone cool.

Celebrity #1 - Jimmy Fallon

So, 1 down, 11 to go!!! My sister, Holly, and I with Jimmy Fallon at Banana's Comedy Club in Poughkeepsie, NY on 1/3/09!!! Best birthday present I ever got:) I also got his autograph, but I have not scanned it yet. He signed his CD booklet for me, he seemed surprised to see it. I love Jimmy, what a way to start my 12!!

12 Celebrities in 12 Months - THE RULES

So this is me, Bambi, from Hudson, NY. And I have decided to give myself a challenge for the year 2009. I plan to meet 12 celebrities in 12 months. I decided this after I realized that I need to give myself something to look forward to. I fortunately have a job in this time of economic demise, however, it's nothing I wake up looking forward to do. I went to school for ART! And I am stifled by how non-artistic this place is. So here I am. Thinking, what am i going to do with my life? I want to be a film maker, a director, a photographer. How do you make a living at that without the start up? So here is where I decided I need to give myself HAPPY things to think about. Things to look forward to. A new years resolution that I will not want to fail at!! There are a few rules though. Well, more like guidelines! They are as follows:

1) Must have proof! Must have a photo of/with, autograph, or both.
2) Can meet any way possible (ie stalk, pay money, etc, but creativity is the key!!)
3) Can meet more than one in any given day or time period.

Let's cross our fingers and say good luck! 12 in 12 in '09!!!
